![]() What we deliver on the pitch for you and this Club matters more than many of you know. Having you with us can make all the difference when we need that extra man. We know we weren’t the only people turning up at Firhill or grounds around Scotland every week – you, our fans, were with us all the way.Īt our lowest and highest points, you were there and everyone in the squad, management and backroom staff thanks you for that unwavering show of support. On a personal front it has been an honour to wear the armband week in week out but football is a team game that goes beyond the 11 of us on the pitch. It’s great to see us getting recognition for playing good, open football – but we will continue to work hard to get the last minute goals out of our game as they cost us too many points this year. Even when we were bottom a week before Christmas, the manager believed in us and, after a really good winter break, the results started to come. The gaffer deserves huge credit as he set the standards and led from the front. There were tough times in the first half of the season, we lost big players for long periods but we kept fighting. We even got Dools over the line for his 100 goals, it really has been special.Īs captain, I am so proud of what we’ve achieved on the pitch. Another season over – and what a season it was! Top six – our best finish in years – more funds for the youth academy and a new training ground coming as well.
